Welcome to the Region of Durham bid opportunities website

What’s New For 2025

Effective January 1, 2025, the Region is introducing a Vendor Performance Evaluation Policy to monitor vendor performance to ensure goods and services managed by the Region are delivered offering the best value for money in an ethical and professional manner.

Vendor performance is critical to the success of the Region’s projects, as it promotes the Region’s expectations of a high standard of performance from vendors and strengthens the Region’s relationship with its vendors. It is intended to improve project outcomes and achieve greater value for money in the delivery of supplies and services to taxpayers.

Significant or persistent deficiencies in a vendor’s performance of any substantive requirement or contractual obligation may result in the vendor being disqualified from bidding for a specified period of time. Names of disqualified vendors will be posted on the Region’s website.

Vendors awarded contracts with the Region will be provided with more specific details regarding the evaluation of their performance, during contract initiation.
